Quantity Surveyor (Junior)

Head Office, Papamoa

We are looking for a highly motivated, talented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our thriving QS team.

In this full-time role, you will be based at our Head Office in Papamoa and provide support to the Quantity Surveying team on day-to-day aspects of the quantity surveying function, including completing take offs, ordering materials, and setting budgets to enable a seamless work flow.

You will have a QS qualification, or in the process of gaining one, ideally some experience under your belt and be keen to continue your learning and development.

  • Provide accurate material take offs for Venture Development projects
  • Complete account set up of contracted jobs in the inhouse estimating software
  • Create accurate purchase orders, complete and maintain the PO schedule and supplier & subcontractor details
  • Keep our show homes looking sharp and presentable.
  • Work effectively with and alongside a range of external and internal stakeholders, building and maintaining effective relationships.

Construction Project Manager

Masterton, Wellington

Adecco is proud to be partnering exclusively with Venture Developments to recruit a Project Manager for their growing Freedom Village project in Masterton. This is a unique opportunity to take the lead on a build that genuinely changes lives—creating quality, affordable homes for retirees and downsizers in a safe, purpose-built community.

You’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the Freedom Village site, ensuring the successful and safe delivery of multiple units from groundworks to handover. Your leadership will shape the progress and culture on site.

  • Scheduling builds and coordinating council inspections
  • Managing deliveries, subcontractors, and materials
  • Leading toolbox meetings and maintaining health & safety compliance
  • Keep our show homes looking sharp and presentable.
  • Ensuring every build is delivered on time, within budget, and to spec

Handyperson/Yardsperson

Ravenswood, Christchurch

We are looking for someone who is hard working and happy to jump in where needed to support the team. This role is fixed term until the end of the project (approximately end of 2025).

You will be stepping into a solid role within a fantastic crew! We offer competitive pay and health insurance, but more importantly you will be part of a large, exciting project which will expose you to valuable experience all while having a blast with a great team at the same time.

  • General handyman duties – digging, lifting, wheelbarrowing, site fences, installing house numbers, sealing, internal door checks, adjusting cabinet doors, etc.
  • Vacuuming out units pre and post paint snags.
  • Keeping our building sites clean and well-maintained all the time.
  • Assisting with QA checks and H&S audit actions.
  • Retrieving material and equipment for jobs from around site (using the canam and trailer).
  • Checking off and assisting delivery drivers.

Qualified Painter

Head Office, Papamoa

We are searching for a highly motivated, Qualified Painter to join our vibrant paint team.

We are looking for someone who will play a crucial role in both new house construction projects and remedial work. You’ll have the unique opportunity to spend time on both painting new houses and handling remedial painting tasks, being vital in working with previous Venture clients to ensure our homes maintain their quality and aesthetic appeal by addressing any touch-ups, repairs, and finishing touches needed after the initial construction phase.

  • A qualified painter with recent experience on new house builds.
  • Excellent customer service skills, ready to work with our previous clients to address any painting remedials that pop up.
  • A team player with a good work ethic and can-do attitude.
  • Have a good eye for detail and be able to strike a balance between producing quality work and keeping to deadlines
  • Demonstrate knowledge of good health & safety practices and be able to follow requirements
  • A full NZ drivers licence is required.
